Mini Vinnies

Who are the Mini Vinnies?

Our Mini Vinnies are quite literally mini St Vincent de Paul's.

Mini Vinnies are 7 to 11 years olds based in primary schools and parishes across England and Wales, and in several other countries across the world. It is a Catholic Organisation that inspires people to live according to the Gospel and teachers love, respect, kindness, generosity and understanding in order to help the most vulnerable and encourage equality among our brothers and sisters.

Mini Vinnies members are there to volunteer and assist by TURNING CONCERNS INTO ACTION!

A SPECIAL event for our Mini Vinnies!

We were very honoured to host the FIRST gathering of Mini Vinnies from other local primary schools. Janet from the SVP came and organised some special and fun activities for the afternoon. Mini-Vinnies brought food items and these were donated to the local food bank. Thank you to our families that came for a cup of tea at the end and hear all about what we had been up too!

Mini Vinnies meet regularly with Miss Daley and Mrs Lawrence-Rimmer.  Their work has included creating prayer cards for local residents and parishioners; fund raising for McMillan and CAFOD; a visit from a guide dog and making friendship bracelets.

Mini Vinnies came together for a special fundraising sleepover in support of our past pupil, Lucas, who is bravely facing a diagnosis of leukaemia. This event gave the children and staff chance to stand with Lucas and his loved ones, offering strength, solidarity and hope during an incredibly challenging time.
