Catholic Life and Mission
The Catholic life of the school is rich in opportunities for children to encounter God and to deepen their relationship with Him as a loving, compassionate Father. Through prayer, both traditional and informal, through liturgies and Religious Education lessons, where children receive direct teaching of the faith, through the relationships and support for each other that children, staff and parents enjoy within the school community, we enable children to come to know and love God.
RE Ambassadors
Benjamin and Maisie are our RE Ambassadors who help promote the importance of Religious Education across the school. They act as positive role models by showing respect for different beliefs, encouraging thoughtful discussion, and supporting activities linked to faith, values, and reflection. They help organise special events, share ideas for worship, help monitor aspects of RE and gather the views of other pupils about RE lessons.

Mary's Meals Assembly
Mary’s Meals is a global charity that provides daily, nutritious meals to over 3 million children in 16 of the world’s poorest countries while they attend school. Founded in 2002 by Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, the organization aims to attract hungry children into the classroom, providing both food and an education to help break the cycle of poverty.
Anna visited school to talk to the children and to ask for our help during the Lenten season.
Lenten Prayer Trail
During the season of Lent, the children will be taking part in a special Lenten Prayer Trail at home. This will give them time to reflect, pray and think about the meaning of Lent.
Each child will take home a simple Lenten Prayer and activity to share as a family. We hope this will provide a lovely opportunity for families to spend a few moments together in prayer and reflection during this important season in the Church’s year.

Travelling Crib
Preparing for the season of Advent, we invited each child to take part in our Travelling Crib activity. The travelling crib helps us to remember the journey Mary and Joseph made to Bethlehem, and it gives families the opportunity to take a moment to pray and reflect together as we get ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Each evening, one child took home the travelling crib, which included a small nativity set, a candle, prayer card, and story book. We asked families to:
• Take some quiet time together as a family to light the candle, set up the nativity, say the prayer and share the story together.
• Talk with your child about the meaning of Advent and how we can prepare our hearts for Jesus.
• Return the travelling crib to school the following morning so that another family can share this special tradition.
This was a lovely way to take the message of Advent into the homes of our families for them to share in the joy and hope of the Christmas season.

We are St. Clement's - Values Day 2: Serving Others
Throughout the day, each class visited various Prayer Stations around the school with an emphasis on:
'How can we serve others'?
St. Clement's Feast Day
The day began by celebrating Mass with Father Peter with Parish and family members joining us. The peaceful Mass was a lovely way to start the day; Father taught the children about the life of St. Clement and many children took part in the service by reading, singing or producing artwork to decorate the altar area.
During the school day, each class part in activities linked to the life of St. Clements. After lunch, we came together to enjoy ‘St. Clement’s Has Got Talent’. This event was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and the staff.
We were honoured to have the Mayor of Halton joining us for this very special day.
Remembrance
On Sunday, 9th November, some of our children joined Mrs Hodgkins and other members of staff to present a wreath from the St. Clement’s community at the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in Runcorn.
We also held our own service, ran by children from YR to Y6, and gathered as a whole school community with Michelle Buckley, Chair of Governors at 11am on Tuesday 11th November.

Harvest Festival
Our families were very generous with their Harvest donations they sent in for our local Food Bank. Each class performed either a poem, some prayers, or songs and year 6 danced with great enthusiasm and confidence to our new Reception parents. There was a lovely school family atmosphere! Our new children performed a song with their year 6 buddy to end the event.

Gardening Club
Miss McNicholas has met with her gardeniog club every Monday after school – they have been working each week on adding new details to our prayer garden – the project will continue into next year.
Holy Week
During Holy Week each KS2 class led a Collective Worship session for their families. Each class told one part of the Holy Week story whilst the others watched with parents/carers who came into school. Y3 dramatised the ‘Entry into Jerusalem’ and Y4 told the story around the ‘Garden of Gethsemane’ through thought provoking prayers. Y5 set up ‘The Last Supper’ with props and costume and many parents attended this session. Y6 were extremely adventurous and had dramatised the ‘Stations of the Cross’ outside in costume with accompanying narrative. Next year, we pray that the weather is on our side too!
Other celebrations of prayer were our Lenten Lunch and the ‘Labyrinth’ prayer session set up by Mrs Essex.

Mission Week
Miss McNicholas has organised 2 special weeks during the Summer Term to celebrate our school values. Week 1, ‘Let’s Open Our Hearts’ has taken place, May 20th to 22nd. We spent three days committing time and activities to exploring three of our school values.
New member of staff, Mrs Owen, said, “I have thoroughly enjoyed this week focussing on school values.” The next school Mission Week is planned for July 8th to 10th and is called ‘Let your Light Shine’.
The Feast of St. Clement
Joining together as a whole school, we celebrated the Feast Day of our very own Saint Clement. The day began by celebrating Mass with Father Peter and members of our families. Father Peter taught the children about the life of St. Clement during his Homily and many children took part by reading, singing or producing artwork to decorate our altar area.
Father Peter tweeted: "It was lovely celebrating with you today - beautiful singing! #see you Sunday!"
During the school Day each class took part in activities linked to the life of St. Clement. After lunch, we came together to enjoy 'St. Clement's Got Talent!' This event was thoroughly enjoyed by children and staff. Every class was represented, from Teddy in Reception class, who danced amazingly to 'We Will Rock You' to the Spice Girls tribute in Year 6.
Remembrance
We joined together as a whole school community for a special Remembrance Assembly led by some members of Year 6 and Mrs Hodgkins. Two minutes silence was observed beautifully. In addition, Michelle Buckley and three members of Year 6 attended the local service at the War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday where they laid a wreathe provided by us a school.

R.E INSET Day
We joined with the local Catholic schools at The Holy Spirit School to listen to David Wells, an inspirational Catholic speaker.
It was lovely to come together as a whole staff and talk about what makes our school so distinctive.
