E-Safety

New technologies have become an integral part of our children’s lives both in and out of school.  It is important that our children are equipped to make the best use of new technology whilst knowing to use it responsibly and safely.

Children should have an entitlement to safe internet access at all times.  The requirement to ensure that children are able to use the internet and related communications technologies appropriately and safety is addressed as part of our wider duty of care to which all who work in schools are bound. Many of the risks reflect situations in the off-line work and it is essential at St Clement’s Catholic Primary School that our E-Safety policy is used in conjunction with other school policies (e.g. behaviour, anti-bullying and child protection policies).

In order to support you as parents please find below a variety of information, advice and guidance that we hope will be useful as you support your children in becoming safe and responsible users of technology.

Alternatively if you have any e-safety concerns or questions please contact a member of our Safeguarding Team.
